I am a history loving, Harry Potter reading, retrogaming nerd, wife to a wonderful aspie man and mother to an energetic, goofy toddler and a sweet baby girl. To protect their privacy, they will be called Strider, Frodo, and Elanor.
The year I graduated high school, I found out I that have Asperger’s Syndrome (AS). I have been struggling to accept it ever since then, and becoming a mother forced me to confront AS in ways I didn’t expect. This is a blog about my quest to embrace my inner weirdness, with lots of commentary on parenting, autism, and life thrown into the mix. Oh yes, and hobbits.
There are precious few resources out there for parents on the spectrum, so it is my hope that I can be of help to others like me and shatter some of the negative stereotypes. Welcome to my humble little blog 🙂
